ABOUT 
BEHIND THE LENS
I am first and foremost an artist. I use many mediums to convey my creativity, from charcoal to photographic paper. My love of art began Freshman year of high school with a mandatory Art appreciation class. I have continued to refine my techniques over the years. This love affair of the arts grew to include photography the moment I picked up my first all manual Nikon F100 and continued when I took my first steps into a dark room, breathing in the fresh developer. I would have to say photography has become an extension of myself. My camera is and extension of my arm, always within reaching distance. I even catch myself framing everything around me as if I were looking throught the eyepiece. I strive to create images that sparks emotion. If "an image is worth a thousand words" then I want mine to be about 10 times that. This is the passion I wish to share with you.Rebecca Elizabeth Ortiz
